ZAGREB, Nov 27 (Hina) - Croatian Interior Minister Ivan Penic
received newly-appointed Chinese Ambassador Li Guobang on
Thursday, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
The Chinese ambassador described the relations between the two
countries as good and constantly improving. He added that visits by
three Croatian state delegations to China this year had also
contributed to that.
Penic informed his guest about the process of peaceful
reintegration of the UN-administered Danube region, stressing that
the international community, along with Croatia, would have to make
substantial efforts to revive the region.
Ambassador Li showed understanding for the peaceful reintegration
process, expressing support for the Croatian government's policy
in resolving that issue.
Penic reiterated his invitation to his Chinese colleagues to visit
Croatia to continue talks on cooperation between the police forces
of the two countries.
