ZAGREB, Nov 20 (Hina) - The Croatian State Panel of Judges (DSV)
held a session Thursday, at which it discussed candidates for
judges of the Croatian Supreme Court.
In April 1995 the DSV refused to nominate nine candidates to the
Supreme Court, which resulted in a successful action in the
Constitutional Court to overturn the Panel decision.
The DSV on Thursday again failed to nominate seven of these
candidates - Milena Drakulic, Gordana Gasparini, Ruzica
Horvatinovic, Erika Kocijancic, Milivoj Mikor, Mladen Piskorec and
Vladimir Primorac. The other two had desisted from competing.
Thursday's panel decision respected the formal and legal procedure
and took into consideration all of the Constitutional Court's
objections, which had caused the 1995 DSV decision to be annulled.
