ZAGREB, Nov 7 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament's Lower House on
Friday passed a law on amendments to the Law on Areas of Special
Government Care, by which amendments the Law covers additional
municipalities. The government has the obligation to within three
months submit an integral bill on amendments to the Law on Areas of
Special Government Care and to subdivide villages and towns in the
Danube river region of eastern Croatia into the first or second
group of areas of special government care.
Due to an insufficient number of attending representatives, the
Lower House again failed to vote on a final bill on education in
languages of ethnic or national minorities, which is in the third
reading.
Parliament speaker Vlatko Pavletic concluded the session by
announcing the next one after a parliamentary delegations returns
from a visit to Bulgaria.
