JERUSALEM, Nov 6 (Hina) - Croatian pilgrims visiting Israel on
Thursday visited the Jad Vasem holocaust Memorial Centre in
Jerusalem.
The president of the Croatian-Israeli Society, Mihael Montiljo,
and Croatian MP Milivoj Kujundzic laid wreaths in the Hall of
Remembrance.
The Croatian pilgrims were welcomed by Vojko Sterk, a former Zagreb
resident who has lived in Israel since 1949.
The pilgrims also visited the Alley of the Just in Jad Vasem, in
where trees bear plates with the names of the just. The just were
non-Jews who saved Jews during World War Two at the risk of their own
lives.
In the Alley of the Just there are names of 52 Croats.
