SARAJEVO, Nov 1 (Hina) - The director of the State Commodity
Stockpiles Board of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mirsad Kurtovic, on
Saturday dismissed statements made by the International High
Representative for Bosnia, Carlos Westendorp, on Friday that the
Board was responsible for malversation of over DM 50 million.
At a news conference in Sarajevo, Kurtovic said that the Board had
remitted all revenues exclusivelly for the financing of Bosnian
Federation institutions, adding that there had been no illegal
outflow of money.
Nowhere was it stated in the Dayton Agreement that the Commodity
Stockpiles Board could not function on a state level, Kurtovic
said, adding that the Council of Ministers of Bosnia-Herzegovina
had decided that the Board should continue the work it had been
doing as a republic administrative organisation until a final
agreement was reached.
