STARA/BOSANSKA GRADISKA, Sept 26 (Hina) - A protocol on free
transport of goods and people between Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina
was signed on Friday by the deputy international high representative
for BH, U.S. General Jacques Klein, Croatian Minister of Maritime
Affairs, Transport and Communications Zeljko Luzavec and a member
of the Bosnian Council for Civil Issues, Spasoje Albijanic.
The protocol was signed on the so called neutral zone of the
Sava River Bridge, which connects the towns of Stara Gradiska
(Croatia) and Bosanska Gradiska (the Bosnian Serb Republic, northern
BH).
According to General Klein, the signing of the protocol marked
the official opening of a border crossing across the Sava River
between Stara Gradiska and Bosanska Gradiska.
Croatia's Luzavec said the Croatian government had waited
three and a half months for the protocol to be signed. Thanks to
General Klein, the procedure had been stepped up and completed, he
said.
According to Albijanic, the protocol augured for a good future
of the Bosnian Serb Republic and that part of BH.
