TOMISLAVGRAD, 25 Sept (Hina) - The leaders of the Herzeg-Bosnian
Canton, the Municipal Council and municipal authorities of
Tomislavgrad on Thursday most strongly condemned last night's
incident in Tomislavgrad which damaged a mosque and demolished an
adjoining building.
We have received the news about the incident with
astonishment and disbelief. We most strongly condemn this
vandalistic act no matter who its perpetrators are. For us
Croats, especially for this traditionally religious region,
attacks on sacral buildings are unthinkable.
This is a monstrous act and it cannot be part of our
policy, said the statement, signed by the Herzeg-Bosnian Canton
Prefect Mirko Bakovic, Canton Government President Filip Andric,
Municipal Council President Mijo Tokic and the had of the
municipal authorities, Ivan Madunic.
It is the duty of state organs to investigate the case and
punish the perpetrators, the statement said.
