STRASBOURG, Sept 24 (Hina) - A Council of Europe working group for
fighting corruption on Wednesday agreed on common principles for
fighting corruption which the Council of Europe's Board of Ministers
will propose for adoption to presidents and prime ministers of
member-countries at a summit to be held in Strasbourg on 10 and 11
October.
According to a member of the working group's executive board,
Zeljko Horvat of the Zagreb Faculty of Law, the mentioned principles
are included in Croatia's standpoints and expressed through its new
legislation - the criminal law, the criminal action law and the
money laundering law.
The working group was pleased to hear about the new laws the
Croatian parliament passed last week, Horvat added.
