ZAGREB, Sept 22 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa on
Monday received a Hungarian delegation led by Minister of Transport,
Communications and Water Management Karoly Lotz to discuss the
development of road and rail traffic and infrastructure.
Lotz told reporters after the talks that Matesa fully
supported the development of combined transport of goods, giving
preference to that mode of transport over the others.
Croatian Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and
Communications Zeljko Luzavec, who was also involved in the talks,
said that the development of combined transport would focus on the
more extensive use of railways.
Also discussed was the synchronised construction of a motorway
linking the Hungarian capital Budapest to the Croatian northern
Adriatic port city of Rijeka.
