ZAGREB, Sept 17 (Hina) - Croatian military and civilian police
have arrested a group of 11 persons on suspicion of stealing and
selling stolen motor vehicles in Croatia and the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Croatian Defence Ministry said in a
statement on Wednesday.
Police filed a request to the County Attorney's Office in
the southern coastal city of Split to institute legal proceedings
against seven members of the 73rd Military Police Battalion, led
by commander Col. Zeljko Maglov, and four civilian persons on
charges of associating to commit criminal offences, abusing of
office and authority, and smuggling.
The 11 persons were detained in the investigative centre of
the Split County Court, the statement said, adding that an
investigation was in progress.
