MOSTAR, Sept 8 (Hina) - Croat members of the Subcommission for the
Media at the OSCE Mostar Office Milan Vego and Kresimir Sego announced
on Monday they were no longer participating in the work of that body.
In a statement sent to the head of the Media Subcommission,
Frederike Seidel, they said their decision was prompted by statements by
OSCE officials published in Moslem-run media which were detrimental to
the Bosnian Croats.
"We are surprised by disinformation in Bosniak (Moslem) media,
launched not by accident on the eve of municipal elections in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, in which the Croats of Bosnia-Herzegovina are vilified," the
statement said.
They said that "the OSCE is deliberately doing damage" to the Croats
and that they could not participate in the work of the Subcommission "until
the OSCE's role is clarified."
