PLITVICE LAKES, Aug 18 (Hina) - Bavarian Development and
Environment Protection Minister Thomas Goppel on Monday visited
with associates Croatia's Plitvice Lakes national park.
Goppel is on a several-day visit to Croatia, as a guest of
the Croatian Reconstruction and Development Ministry.
At Plitvice the Bavarian minister held talks with the
manager of the national park, Stjepan Dujmovic, which focused on
the rebirth of tourism, the renovation of objects which suffered
damage during the Homeland War, and the protection and
preservation of the park.
Minister Goppel was also accompanied by Croatia's consul
general in Munich Ivan Simek.
During the visit, the guests from Bavaria toured the 16
lakes.
