CONSTRUCTION PERFORMED IN ZAGREB THIS YEAR AMOUNTS TO USD 80 MILLION

USD 80 MILLION $ ZAGREB, Aug 12 (Hina) - Construction works carried out in Zagreb from January to June 1997 amounted to 532.5 million kunas (USD 80.7 million), which is 32.4 percent more than in the same period last year, the Zagreb City Development Planning Office reported on Tuesday, adding that construction performed on housing buildings amounted to 215.4 million kunas (USD 32.6 million), which is 11.1 percent more than last year. Three-hundred-fifty-one flats (19,339 square metres) have been built in Zagreb in the said period, of which 175 are two-bedroom flats (9,738 square metres).
