OSIJEK, July 10 (Hina) - The return of 89 Serb refugees from Klisa, a
village in UN-administered eastern Croatia, to their pre-war homes in
other areas of the country, mostly in the central Korenica area, began
on Thursday morning as part of an organised two-way return of refugees,
the head of the regional office for displaced persons and refugees, Nada
Arbanas, said at a local government session in Osijek.
Speaking of the return of displaced Croats to UNTAES-controlled
parts of Osijek County, she said that in the first phase they would be
returning to Bilje, Aljmas and the so-called Baranja triangle.
However, the return of Croats to Aljmas may be slowed down due to
the fact that a larger number of Serb refugees from Western Slavonia
were currently staying there, Arbanas said.
