SARAJEVO, June 27 (Hina) - The directors of Croatian and Bosnian state-
run electric companies, Damir Begovic and Emir Aganovic, signed a
cooperation agreement in Sarajevo on Friday.
Aganovic said that 320 million kWh of electric power, which is nine
per cent of Bosnia-Herzegovina's total output, would be exported to
Croatia before the end of the year.
The agreement also stipulates that 60 per cent of the power will be
paid in cash while the rest will be paid in goods manufactured in
Croatia, primarily equipment for the power and mining industries.
"Today's agreement is the first step in the restoration of the pre-
war cooperation," Aganovic said, stressing that by signing the agreement
the two power systems would actually be linked to form one whole.
Begovic said that the agreement reflected the desire of both
companies for closer cooperation, including efforts to overcome
difficulties which had arisen in the past years.
The signing ceremony was attended, among others, by Croatian
ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina Darinko Bago and the Bosnian
Federation's energy, mining and industry minister Izudin Kapetanovic.
The Croatian delegation was received by Bosnian Presidency member
Kresimir Zubak.
