ZAGREB, June 14 (Hina) - An exhibition dedicated to the works of
Croatian emigrant painters called "Croatian Horizons" was opened in
Zagreb on Saturday, as part of the "Croatia 2000 - Croatian Diaspora
(Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow)" symposium, held under the patronage of
Croatian President Franjo Tudjman.
The exhibition was opened by Croatian Culture Minister Bozo
Biskupic, who pointed out that the significance of "Croatian Horizons"
was patriotic and cultural. With the exhibition, we are giving back to
the mother country the part of its culture which grew outside it, he
said, adding that we are thus also enriching our knowledge of the whole
of our culture, through the works of some enthusiasts whom we are only
now getting to know.
The exhibition is open until 20 July.
