TRAVNIK, March 21 (Hina) - A powerful explosion damaged a Roman Catholic
church in the Moslem-controlled Travnik area of central Bosnia half an hour
after midnight on Friday.
The bell tower of the Church of Christ's Resurrection in the village
of Donje Puticevo was destroyed and its ceiling and walls were heavily
damaged by the blast. Fragments of the tower were blown within a 200 metre
radius.
The exiled Croat mayor of Travnik, Tomislav Rajic, and the president
of the municipal branch of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party, Ante
Spaic, toured the site later in the day.
Local Croat officials said they had informed cantonal, federal and
international authorities in Bosnia-Herzegovina about "this act of
terrorism."
