Considering the problematic political and safety
situation in the country, work has been discontinued on the
Peza project, on a location 23 kilometres southwest of Tirana.
Additional measures for the protection of personnel and
property were being undertaken, and the work on protecting the
oil-well was almost finished. A reduction in personnel to a
technological minimum is to follow, while urgent return was
being organised for the rest, the statement said.
