ZAGREB, March 11 (Hina) - The Croatian President's Chief of Staff, Hrvoje
Sarinic, on Tuesday received Assistant UN High Commissioner for Refugees
Sergio Vieiro de Mella for talks on the process of peaceful reintegration
and the situation in the UN-administered Danube region of eastern Croatia,
the President's Office said in a statement.
Sarinic expressed confidence that the peaceful reintegration process
would be completed successfully according to schedule, adding that the
Croatian government was preparing a proposal for the resolution of the
problem of refugees, which would soon be presented to the international
organizations active in the Danube River region.
Also attending were Presidential Foreign Policy Advisor Zeljko Matic,
UNHCR Mission Chief Pierre Jambon, UNTAES Civil Affairs Coordinator Gerard
Fischer and UNHCR Special Envoy Carrol Faubert, the statement concluded.
