Croatia, in which an Italian SFOR soldier was killed.

airport, on Wednesday issued a statement on the details of
Tuesday's traffic accident near Gradac in Croatia, in which an

The soldier had been in the second vehicle of a convoy of
three vehicles which had been transporting containers with
humanitarian help from Split to Ploce, the statement said.
About 15 kilometres north of Ploce, the vehicle carrying the
Italian soldier had swerved off a narrow section of the road and
plunged into a gorge, the statement said, adding that another
Italian soldier had been in the same vehicle and received only
injuries.
The injured soldier had been transported to the division's
military hospital in Mostar and was expected to fully recover, the
statement said.
Commander of the multi-national division for Sector Southeast,
General Yves le Chatelier, had forwarded deepest condolences to the
family and friends of the killed soldier, the statement said,
adding that the military commemoration would take place in the
Ortijes base in Mostar on Wednesday.
