MOSTAR, Feb 12 (Hina) - The Herzegovina County Foreign
Minister Valentin Coric told Wednesday's news conference that
the first meeting of Croat and Moslem Mostar police officers
had taken place in Mostar on Tuesday evening after incidents
of 10 February.
Coric said that before the incident, about 40 Moslems
came to the town cemetery and performed a religious ceremony
without any obstructions. The police intervened only when the
Moslems began arriving in large numbers, Coric said.
At Tuesday's meeting the Moslem side admitted that Croats
had been maltreated on the Mostar-Sarajevo road and that their
vehicles and money had been taken away from them.
Four Moslem families who had been exiled from their
apartments in west Mostar on Tuesday evening had been returned
to their apartments and those who had exiled them would be
punished, Coric said.
He said that he had been told by the Moslem side that two
Croats who had been registered as missing were alive.
