Expressing satisfaction about the handover of the documents to the
Archive, Penic said that this historic material concerned a part of the
archives from the Second World War, primarily documents of the former secret
police (OZNA).
The material which mainly consisted of files to 1946 and some
documents till 1958 would be available exclusively to scientists who could
use the material to "judge the time in which we lived," Kolanovic said.
He stressed that the files would be used carefully, respecting the
principles of the protection of privacy and the rights of every man.
