The old woman's body was found two days ago in an abandoned
building in west Mostar and the autopsy was carried out in a Split
hospital in the presence of Stabilisation Force (SFOR) medical
experts.
The death of Rukija Bejtovic was connected with her eviction
from her flat, Ivanko said, adding that International Police Task
Force commissioner Peter Fitzgerald held that the events were
interrelated. Fitzgerald described the case as unheard of.
West Mostar police had failed to show readiness to cooperate
both in earlier cases and in the latest case, Ivanko said.
Three abandoned Bosniac houses were severely damaged in strong
explosions in the village of Oplicici near Capljina on 6 January,
Ivanko added.
