SARAJEVO, Jan 7 (Hina) - Croatian Defence Council (HVO) Colonel
Mile Lulic was wounded under unclear circumstances in northern
Bosnia on Monday as he was travelling through Serb territory
towards the Sava river town of Orasje.
Lulic turned up at the McGovern military base of US troops
serving in the NATO-led Stabilization Force (SFOR) and asked for
help, SFOR spokesman Jan Joosten said in Sarajevo on Tuesday.
Lulic was wearing civilian clothes and his vehicle did not
have any military markings. After receiving first aid, he was
transferred to hospital in the Croatian town of Slavonski Brod,
about 200 km east of Zagreb.
Lulic received one bullet to the arm and three more bullet
holes were found on his car.
Joosten said that international and local police would
investigate the case, adding that at the moment SFOR officials in
Sarajevo did not have any details that may lead to the
perpetrators or their motives.
