ZAGREB, Jan 3 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Ljerka Mintas Hodak on Friday received representatives of the Croatian Retirees' Union (SUH) because of their request which had been set at a peaceful protest staged by retirees.
Present at the meeting were also Labour and Social Welfare Minister Joso Skara, director of the Pension Fund, Silvio Micin, and SUH President, Juraj Ivankovic and Deputy President Ivan Nahtigal, a statement from the Croatian government Public Relations Office said.

The participants of the meeting agreed that every request
should be analyzed by a work group headed by Skara and consisting
of representatives of the Labour and Social Welfare Ministry,
Pension Fund, SUH and other two pension associations.
The results of the work and difficulties are to be presented
at a meeting with Mintas Hodak every month and a half.
The meeting also established that pensions would be increased
for December 1996 by an additional 100 kuna and a raise of 10
percent.
