Pons arrived in Zagreb on Monday for a one-day visit to
Croatia.
"The visit is just at the right moment when economic
relations between Croatia and France are developing
successfully," Matesa told reporters.
Illustrating the most important economic ties between
Croatia and France, Matesa pointed out that the French company
Bouygues was constructing a motor way in Istria, the so-called
Istrian Y, he pointed out the participation of French
companies in the reconstruction of the Zadar airport and the
sale of Airbus aircraft to Croatia Airlines.
Matesa also said that the French had the biggest chance
of being awarded a contract for the continuation of the
construction of the Zagreb-Rijeka motor way.
"We agreed that both sides would do everything to
maintain the dynamics of investment of French capital and the
development of economic relations between Croatia and France,"
Matesa said.
Pons said that the talks had focused on projects in air
traffic, road construction and construction of airports.
France was very interested in cooperating in these
projects, Pons said.
