Based on world experience and work in the field, experts with
the Centre drew up directions for the evaluation of accommodation
capacities of Mediterranean coastal regions.
Director the Centre, Petar Reic, said that this was the first
such document drafted for the Mediterranean and had so far
encountered positive reactions.
The main task of the seminar was to present the programme and
to receive the support of Mediterranean countries in its
implementation, Reic said.
The seminar is expected to present themes from the fields of
tourism and environment protection which the Split-based Centre
should develop over the next few years.
