SARAJEVO, Oct 16 (Hina) - An anonymous bomb threat which the
Catholic School Centre in Sarajevo received on Friday proved
false.
A thorough check-up of the school building in Sarajevo district
Mejtas was carried out by a special anti-sabotage police unit,
Sarajevo Canton Interior Ministry spokesman Adnan Kosovac told
Hina.
No explosive or bomb have been found. It was obviously a false
threat, he said.
The Catholic School Centre headmaster Anto Mestrovic told
reporters about 500 pupils had been attending class when the threat
was made.
After being informed that the police had been notified about the
bomb we evacuated all pupils and teachers, Mestrovic said, adding
the police had found nothing after a thorough investigation.
All today's classes were cancelled out of security reasons, and
will resume on Monday.
Mestrovic said he was surprised by the event as lately the incidents
and threats of last year had almost but disappeared.
