SARAJEVO, Oct 16 (Hina) - The agreement on a model of solution for
the Kosovo crisis signed by Richard Holbrooke and Slobodan
Milosevic has not stopped the arrival of Kosovo refugees to Bosnia-
Herzegovina, U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees' spokesperson
said in Sarajevo on Friday.
According to UNHCR reports, 30 to 40 Kosovo refugees were arriving
daily in Sarajevo this week, and only on Monday there were more than
a hundred arrivals, said spokeswoman Wendy Rappeport.
A reception centre, set up by the UNHCR in the former Coca-Cola
plant in Hadzici outside Sarajevo, currently holds 1,150 Albanian
refugees, including two babies who were born there in the last three
days.
The UNHCR has information on 4,325 Kosovo refugees who have sought
shelter in Bosnia so far. The refugees are mainly Albanians but
there are 200 Kosovo Serbs who have sought asylum in the Bosnian
Serb entity.
The organisation estimates that the total number of refugees is
much higher because not all of them have registered, Rappeport said
adding the UNHCR believed that there were between 10,000 and 11,000
Kosovo refugees in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
