BEFORE INTERIOR AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

ZAGREB, Oct 12 (Hina) - Please note that the news item HNA7801
"GREGURIC GIVES STATEMENT FOLLOWING TESTIMONY BEFORE INTERIOR
AFFAIRS COMMITTEE" was accidentally released in its working
draft.
The final and correct item reads as follows:
Croatian President Franjo Tudjman's advisor Franjo Greguric on
Monday testified before the Lower House Committee for Internal
Affairs and National Security on the alleged political misuse of
intelligence services.
The Committee is discussing behind closed doors accusations made in
different interviews by Greguric and the Presidential Chief-of-
Staff Hrvoje Sarinic.
Upon leaving the hall where the session is taking place, Greguric
said: "We have discussed one part of the documents which are
connected with my statements and now it is up to the competent
services to give their opinion. Do not expect that I control any
state institutions which can confirm my claims. There are services
that exist for this purpose".
Greguric said that his testimony should actually be called a
hearing, since along with the Committee members other MPs who
attended the session utilised the opportunity to pose questions.
He added that his testimony was over for today.
Greguric was the first of the four summonsed officials to testify.
