SPLIT, Oct 10 (Hina) - The international tourism film festival will
take place in the Croatian coastal town of Split this year from
October 14 to 18.
During the five days of the festival, 56 chosen tourism films will
be shown from Austria, Cambodia, Croatia, the Czech republic,
Finland, Guatemala, Hungary, Italy, Mauritius, Morocco, New
Zealand, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
An international panel of judges will decide on eleven of the most
successful films and award one of them the Grand Prix.
The organisers of the festival are the Croatian Dalmatian Tourism
Promotion Centre (FIS CENTAR).
Participants and visitors of the festival will be shown a film about
Cardinal Alojzije Stepinac who was recently beatified by Pope John
Paul II, and his hometown Krasic, and a film about the Croatian
coastal town of Rijeka, one of the candidates for hosting the
Mediterranean Games in 2005.
