SPLIT, Oct 4 (Hina) - A total of 1,072 accredited domestic and
foreign reporters are covering Pope John Paul II's visit to the
southern Croatian port of Split on Sunday.
According to a press centre organised at Split Hotel, the reporters
have at their disposal 90 telephones, 80 laptop computers and 20
computers with access to the Internet's pages with details on the
Pope's visit.
A live broadcast of the Pope's stay in Split may also be viewed on
the Internet, alongside video and audio recordings of the Holy
Father's visit to Zagreb on Friday and Marija Bistrica, where he
beatified late Croatian Cardinal Alojzije Stepinac, on Saturday.
The press centre at Split Hotel is the most comprehensive organised
in split to date.
