VUKOVAR, Sept 30 (Hina) - An eighth grade pupil of Serb nationality
of Vukovar's elementary school on Wednesday caused an extremist
incident.
During a morning break between classes, 14-year-old D.M. entered a
second grade classroom where pupils of Croatian nationality were
attending class.
According to Vukovar-Srijem County police, D.M. insulted the
pupils "on a national basis", took a chair, placed it in front of the
blackboard, stood up on it and repeatedly spat at the Croatian coat-
of-arms on the wall above the blackboard.
Then he went to a photo-mural, snatched from it a poster of the Pope,
took it to toilets where he crumpled and tore it, returned to the
classroom and set it on fire.
D.M. will be criminally charged with offending Croatia.
