ZAGREB, Sept 15 (Hina) - The majority owner and chairman of the
management board of Europapress Holding, Ninoslav Pavic, confirmed
to Hina that the basic agreement with Miroslav Kutle and Vinko
Grubisic has been achieved, by which Pavic gains control over the
entire ownership package of the "Mreza" network.
The Europapress Holding issues series of weekly magazines, upon
which are "Globus", "Arena", "Gloria", and starting six months ago,
daily newspaper "Jutarnji list".
"I came upon another obstacle and I need a time out", Pavic said,
emphasising that the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and the Ministry
of Transport and Communications refused to recognise Mreza's way of
programme distribution.
The Mreza distributes programmes to local TV stations in Croatia.
Pavic and representatives of the two ministries will examine the
important issues by the end of this week and will try to define the
legal framework for Mreza's further business activities.
If we fail to achieve an agreement which would not interfere with
my business activities and further development of Mreza, I will
back out of yesterday's agreement, Pavic said. He has not described
the agreement in detail.
