PRISTINA, Sept 11 (Hina) - Serbian forces on Friday started
shelling Kosovo Albanian villages in Srbica Municipality, in the
Drenica area, the Srbica-based Human Rights Watch reported.
More than 50 tanks and other heavy artillery are being used in the
attacks, the same source said.
According to Albanian sources, the Serbian forces are trying to
enter the villages of Likovce, Rezala, Tica and Pluzhina, but the
Kosovo Liberation Army is resisting strongly.
Several thousand local residents, who in the last days started
returning to their homes, are now again forced to flee.
The Kosovo Human Rights and Freedoms Watch in Kosovo capital
Pristina reported today that the bodies of five Albanians,
including a two-month-old baby, were found in Orahovica
Municipality, 60km west of Pristina.
Three babies in the area died as a result of very difficult living
conditions, the same source said.
