BUGOJNO, Sept 8 (Hina) - The demographic make-up of Bugojno
Municipality has been considerably disturbed, representatives of
displaced Bugojno Croats said on Monday.
A Muslim-controlled town in central Bosnia, Bugojno has a
population of 33,500, including 30,000 Muslims, 3,000 Croats and
500 Serbs, municipal head Djevad Mlaco told a session of the Bugojno
Municipal Council.
Displaced Croat councillors however pointed out that some 16,000
Croats from Bugojno were in exile, and added that, according to a
1991 census, Bugojno Municipality had 19,000 Muslims and 17,500
Croats.
Councillors of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina
(HDZ BH) did not accept a report Mlaco submitted on the employment
structure in 59 bodies of authority in Bugojno Municipality.
The fact that only 12 marginal posts have been offered to us is non-
permissible, they assessed.
Mlaco told three Croat returnee councillors they could get the keys
to their flats which were previously occupied by Muslims.
The other councillors will be given their flats and houses soon, he
added.
