PHILIP MORRIS & ROVINJ TOBACCO INDUSTRY RENEW COOPERATION

( Editorial: --> 8083 ) ZAGREB, Sept 4 (Hina) - Philip Morris, one of the biggest and the most eminent food-processing and tobacco companies, and Rovinj Tobacco Factory (TDR) signed an agreement on the renewal and expansion of business cooperation, TDR announced on Friday. Arrangements for the agreement began this spring. Philip Morris and TDR have been cooperating for four years. Present collaboration in producing the most prestigious cigarette brand, Marlboro, has been changed by the signed agreement. TDR introduced modern machines and equipment to advance technology in production of their own brand. In future production of Marlboro, the entire technological department of the factory will be used and not only partially, as until now. An agreement on renewed partnership and cooperation also predicts joint work on new cigarettes, new markets, agronomy, as well as in any other field of mutual interest. (hina) it /ha 041557 MET sep 98
