POLITICAL CANNIBALISM PREVAILS ELECTION CAMPAIGN IN BOSNIA - NHI

( Editorial: --> 4325 ) SARAJEVO, Aug 18 (Hina) - The New Croat Initiative (NHI) on Tuesday accused the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina (HDZ BiH) of political cannibalism in the electoral campaign. The NHI asked the public in Bosnia-Herzegovina to oppose such conduct. The ripping down of NHI posters (in Vitez and Novi Travnik), beating up of poster stickers and members of the party (Vitez), shooting at NHI posters in Herzegovina and intimidation and threats aimed at members and supporters if NHI are just some of methods used by the HDZ BiH to hinder the NHI's election campaign, the NHI said in a statement on Tuesday. Danger lies especially in the organised participation of members of the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) and police (plain clothes), who are ordered by the HDZ to obstruct rallies and threaten their participants (Zepce).
