OSIJEK, Aug 14 (Hina) - According to the most recent registry, some
10,000 displaced persons have returned to the Croatian Danubian
area (east Croatia).
There are still 2,604 refugees in the Osijek-Baranja County and
3,068 in the Vukovar-Srijem County, the two counties' officials
said at a meeting with representatives of the Organisation for
Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Osijek on Friday.
Out of this number, they said, 225 persons have announced the sale
of their property, and the situation is similar in the other
county.
All commissioners and mayors of municipalities in the Danubian area
were called on to cooperate with the international organisations.
