BUSOVACA, Aug 1 (Hina) - Bosnian Croat officials from the Central
Bosnian Canton on Saturday forwarded a letter to the International
High Representative for Bosnia-Herzegovina, Carlos Westendorp,
asking to be received.
Eight Croats were murdered (six civilians returnees and two police
officers) in the Travnik municipality this year, and the
perpetrators have not been found, the letter said.
The Croat officials requested that the perpetrators be prosecuted
so that Croats could return to their homes safely.
So far, 9,500 Croats have officially registered to return to
Travnik, Bugojno and Fojnica, but the international community is
not providing the promised resources for the reconstruction of
their houses, the letter said.
