OSIJEK, July 28 (Hina) - Two residents of the town of Bolman in the
Croatian Danube River region have been charged with defiling the
reputation of the Republic of Croatia.
Slobodan Desancic, 26, took off the Croatian flag from a health
clinic building on July 9, and Dusan Jankovic, 44, set it on fire.
As this sort of criminal action does not envisage detention, the two
can defend themselves out of prison.
Deputy State Attorney of the Osijek-Baranja County Vjekoslav
Puljko said the Croatian criminal law envisages a punishment from
three months to three years of prison for this kind of crime.
