PRISTINA, July 24 (Hina) - The Kosovo Liberation Army on Thursday
released 35 Serb prisoners, including seven monks and one nun, the
International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said on Friday.
The ICRC called on both sides to suspend fighting to allow the
evacuation of the wounded and the burial of the killed.
According to the Pristina-based Albanian daily Koha Ditore, the
head of the ICRC delegation, Beatrice Weber, said on Friday that her
delegation had not been allowed to enter the Serbian-controlled
town of Orahovac (60 km south-west of Pristina) to distribute
humanitarian aid.
Meanwhile, 59 Albanian victims of the clashes in Orahovac have been
identified, according to Kosovo Albanian media.
