PRISTINA, 9 July (Hina) - Strong clashes were reported in the past
24 hours in the Kosovo municipality of Djakovica, the Kosovo
Democratic Alliance said on Thursday.
The strongest fighting was reported in the Albanian-controlled
village of Morina, near the Yugoslav-Albanian border.
Serbian police in Djakovica have arrested a number of Albanians and
transferred some of them to a prison in Pec.
Albanian sources claim that Serbian forces continue to block the
delivery of basic food products to Djakovica.
On Thursday afternoon, following orders by Serbian authorities,
the bodies of five unidentified Albanians were buried in
Djakovica.
It is known that the bodies were brought from the village of Reka e
Keqe which is populated exclusively by Albanians.
Albanian sources reported that Serbian forces shelled villages in
the Decani municipality on Wednesday night and Thursday.
