PULA, July 8 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on
Wednesday morning left for Paris, where he will attend the Croatia-
France match in the semifinals of the world football championship.
"It will surely be a good match - France is among the most elegant
players in Europe and has been cast as a favourite for the
championship," Tudjman said.
"For Croatia, it is a great success to have reached the semi-finals
and to be among the four best teams in the world," he said.
"I wish much success to our football heroes but they have already
achieved a great victory for the Croatian football and Croatia as a
whole," President Tudjman said.
The President's chief-of-staff Hrvoje Sarinic, Croatian
Information Service director Miroslav Sarinic also left for Paris
with President Tudjman.
