SARAJEVO, June 29 (Hina) - The Croat member of the Presidency of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kresimir Zubak, held talks with the German
Government's special commissioner Dietmar Schlee about the
problems of return of refugees and displaced people.
Zubak's Office said in a statement that the talks also focused on
the possibilities of expediting the return process in the light of
the programme adopted by the Croatian government.
Schlee said he would try to exert pressure on Bosnian Serb
authorities to enable the opening of the Croatian consulate in
Banja Luka in order for the process of return to begin.
He reiterated his satisfaction about the adopted document on the
return of refugees and expressed hope that it would be effectively
implemented.
The German commissioner also relayed the dissatisfaction of
Germany's "Daimler" industrial concern for the delay in its
functioning in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and asked Zubak to intervene as
a member of the Presidency.
Zubak and Schlee described the general situation in the country
before the elections as satisfactory, and expressed concern with
the continuous worsening of the situation in Kosovo.
