ZAGREB, June 21 (Hina) - The Croatian Victimology Society on Sunday
ended its first three-day victimology congress in Zagreb.
The congress will adopt a declaration based on a proposal by its
participants and send it to the media, Croatian Government and
Parliament, the president of the Croatian Victimology Society
Zvonimir Separovic said.
The declaration will stress the need for establishing the truth
about the suffering of the Croatian people, especially in the
Homeland war. Special attention will be paid to the survivors,
victims' and children's rights, Separovic said.
The declaration will stress the need for the return of all Croats to
their homes within an appropriate period as well as the need for
urgent de-mining of Croatian areas, he added.
The congress will send a request to the US government for the
release of a Croat Zvonko Busic and demand the release of Croat
prisoners from Sremska Mitrovica prison, Yugoslavia.
Today's session heard short reports on social, psychological,
ethical, legal, ecological, medical and other aspects of
victimology.
