SARAJEVO, June 17 (Hina) - The Croat member of the Bosnian
Presidency, Kresimir Zubak, on Wednesday received a delegation of
Travnik Croats to discuss recent terrorist attacks on Croat
returnees in Travnik, Zubak's office said in a statement.
It was concluded that despite officially proclaimed policy of the
Muslim Democratic Action Party (SDA), attacks were being carried
out with the aim of preventing the return process and discouraging
Croat returnees.
There is obvious passivity and inefficiency on the part of Bosniak
police officers, which sometimes turns into obstruction and opens
many questions concerning the real commitment to return and the
functioning of Travnik as a multiethnic town.
Zubak and his guests agreed to request the International Police
Task Force and international officials to actively engage and
conduct a thorough investigation into the latest incidents in the
town.
The international community will be asked to intervene so that the
reorganisation of Travnik municipal authorities could be carried
out in line with the conclusions of the Federation Forum, it was
said at the meeting.
