SARAJEVO, June 3 (Hina) - A Croatian government delegation, the
Bosnia-Herzegovina Council of Ministers and the Bosnian Federation
government on Wednesday harmonised the text of an agreement on
special relations between Croatia and the Croat-Moslem
federation.
Head of the Croatian delegation Franjo Greguric said the text of the
agreement would be forwarded to bodies of authority in Croatia and
Bosnia-Herzegovina for ratification and adoption.
During the talks in Sarajevo, the delegations also discussed
agreements on the status of the Croatian port of Ploce and the
passage through Neum (Bosnia-Herzegovina).
Bosnia-Herzegovina's Foreign Trade and Economic Relations
Minister Mirsad Kurtovic said negotiations on these issues are to
continue because the views of both sides are rather far apart.
The main problems remained the establishment of a free zone in Ploce
harbour, and the Bosnian side continued to insist that a section of
the port be allocated in which the systems of customs and companies'
business would be regulated under rules valid in the Bosnian
Federation.
Greguric, however, warned that requests for Croatia to give up part
of its territory or sovereignty over a part of its territory were
unrealistic. Croatia is offering that the free zone issue be
resolved through a joint company which would administer the free
zone.
