SARAJEVO, May 23 (Hina) - Members of the European Parliament, Doris
Pack and Nana Mouskouri on Saturday visited the Catholic School
Centre in Sarajevo.
They met with students and held talks with the Assistant Archbishop
to Sarajevo, Msgr. Pero Sudar and the Centre's director, Ante
Mestrovic.
Pack and Mouskouri were informed about the work of the school which
is attended by 1,100 students of all nationalities.
The two European MPs gave the school a special financial gift
intended for the construction of a similar centre in Tuzla.
This gift worth DM90,000 has been collected as revenues from a
concert Mouskouri, the famous Greek singer, held in Germany at the
beginning of March.
During their stay in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Pack and Mouskouri are to
visit children convalescing at the Sarajevo hospital from injuries
received during the war.
They will also meet the chairman of the Bosnia-Herzegovina
Presidency, Alija Izetbegovic, and the deputy International High
Representative in the country, Jacques Klein.
Nana Mouskouri will hold concerts in a Sarajevo Serb Orthodox
church and the Sarajevo Cathedral.
