ZAGREB, May 23 (Hina) - "Days of Croatian Culture in the Republic of
Slovakia" will be held from 24 to 29 May in Bratislava in
organisation with Croatia's Ministry of Culture.
The event begins with the opening of two exhibitions "100 Years of
Croatian Design" and "Modern Croatian Graphic Arts". Presented to
the Slovak public will be the Symphony Orchestra of Croatian Radio
Television (HRT), the Zagreb Quartet and the HRT Tamburica
Orchestra.
An anthology of "Croatian-Slovak Cultural and Historical Ties",
printed in both languages will also be presented.
The anthology shows the great contribution to Croatian culture and
history by personalities like Stjepan Mojzes, Martin Kukucin and
above all the first Archbishop and Cardinal of Zagreb Jurja
Haulik.
Croatian Kinoteka will contribute to the festivities by showing the
Slovak public some successful Croatian films from its holdings.
The Zagreb Youth Theatre will in Bratislava perform Rene Medvesak's
"Hamper".
During the course of the festivities it is expected that the
Croatian and Slovak culture ministers, Boze Biskupic and Ivan
Hudec, will meet.
